Obama has often spoken of his distaste for Kim Kardashian, her reality shows, and together, Kim and Kanye’s influence on young teens.
West is a well-known big mouth with an unpredictable personality.
Could he find himself in close proximity to the president at a celebrity event one day and get in his face like he did with Taylor Swift?
You may recall, West stormed the stage and grabbed the mic from her hand because she won an MTV award for best video instead of is favorite, Beyonce. He refused to give back the mic until he derided Swift for winning.
At the time, Obama called West a “jackass” for his behavior.
Obama has never been a fan of the Kardashians, or their reality television shows. Most recently, he’s criticized both West and his “baby mama.” In an August interview, he said they represented “a warped American dream.”
“Kids were monitoring everyday what Kim Kardashian was wearing, or where Kanye West was going on vacation, and thinking that somehow that was the mark of success,” he said.
Kanye shot back at the President during an interview today (Nov. 18) on Philadelphia’s Hot 107.9 FM with DJs Shamara and Laiya.
“Are ya’ll gonna sit down and break bread ever?” asked the radio host. “Like have a double date or something?”
“Oh, do you mean Like how he used to come and visit me and my mama and tell me he’s about to run for President?” said Kanye derisively.
“I think we’re pop icons, and the president likes to use that type of thing to be down. People was fine with me being everybody’s punching bag and everything for about five years.”
“Just say we hate Kanye and it’s going to be 30 other people say ‘We hate Kayne’ and stuff. And that was kind of my position in culture. So, he also used that too. ‘Awe, he’s a jackass’ because that’s how the world felt,” he said.
“I don’t care if someone is the president or not; I care about thoughts and how you’re helping people and what you’re bringing to the world,” he added. “My music brings joy to people.”
“You aren’t gonna eat together,” said the DJ.
“Leave Michele alone, Yee, leave Michele alone,” chimed in her co-anchor.
“Yeah, well I think he shouldn’t mention my baby mama’s name,” West countered, “cause we both from Chicago.”
“I’m not going to mention him no more. I’m past that. That’s out of my thoughts. That’s lower on my priority of thinking at this point,” he said.
The conversation about the president begins at about the 11:17 mark on the first video and is carried over onto the second video. Check it out, let us know your thoughts and follow TheImproper on Twitter for the latest celebrity news.
