New Jersey Real Housewife Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe Giudice were forced to do another perp walk today (Nov. 20) in federal court in New Jersey to face arraignment on new charges of mortgage fraud and falsifying a loan application.

The couple, who gained fame for their living large on the Bravo reality TV show “Real Housewives of New Jersey,” strode hand-in-hand into the courthouse.

The Giudice’s are already facing a 39 count indictment that alleges widespread bankruptcy, wire and bank fraud. On Monday, (Nov. 18) they were hit with additional charges of bank fraud and loan application fraud.

Joe Giudice also faces charges for failing to file income-tax returns.

The latest development could signal one of two things; prosecutors are intent at throwing the book at the couple, or they have some concern that other charges may not stick for lack of evidence, so they are layering on new charges.

Basically, they allegedly tried to swindle lenders into giving them money by claiming they were employed and making “substantial salaries” at a time when they were either unemployed or not making the money the claimed, according to TheImproper.com.

The Giudices have pleaded not guilty to the charges and have asked for a jury trial. If convicted, they face up to $1 million in fines and up to 20 years in prison.

Joe is an Italian citizen and would likely be deported, which could keep him out of jail but bar him from returning to the United States.
