Lovato, who turned 21 in August, is a former Disney teen queen. She has carved out an adult career as a singer, after some trial and tribulation that could be a Disney movie.
She’s all grown up now in the stunning Joseph Altuzarra design, and kudos to her for wearing the young designer, who is rocketing to fashion stardom with his own label.
Altuzarra, who graduated from Swarthmore College in 2004, interned with Marc Jacobs and later apprenticed with Nicolas Caïto, former head of Rochas atelie.

He launched his brand, Altuzarra, with 15 debut pieces in 2008 and this year won the inaugural CFDA branding initiative and the USA Woolmark Prize. He also designed the costumes for the New York City Ballet’s Pas de Deux, A Place for Us.
Lovato’s dress, featured in Altuzarra’s Spring 2014 collection, drew attention with its plunging neckline and wide tuxedo-like lapels. Peplum detailing at the skirt emphasized her curvy hips. She frosted her hair an icy blue for the occasion.
The dress was feminine and sexy without going too far over the top.
Outside the El Capitan Theatre, the scene was magical. Disney wizards created a snow storm and guests were offered cups of Ghiradelli hot chocolate. The after-party at The Highlands club featured ice carvers and Pop Tart decorating stations.
In the movie, fearless optimist Anna, voice by Kristen Bell, sets off on an epic journey to find her sister Elsa, voiced by Idina Menzel. She meets rugged mountain man Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) who joins her on her journey.
Lovato contributes a song to the soundtrack.
The big-screen comedy adventure, the work of Disney Animated Studios, hits theaters Nov. 27. Check out Demi’s hot photos and be sure to follow TheImproper on Twitter for the latest movie news.
