In the cynical publishing industry, magazines are actually targeted at demographics younger than cover titles might otherwise suggest.
That is, Teen Vogue, is actually written for, and read mostly by, pre-teens. Seventeen magazine is read by 12- to 15-year-olds and anyone older than that usually goes for the adult titles like Vogue, Cosmopolitan and Elle.
How else do you think high-schoolers know the 75 Sexy Moves Men Crave? Because that was an actual Cosmo cover headline.
Selena Gomez Vivacious in Teen Vogue

Selena has been a wonderful role model and seems to care about her image, but she’s 21 now and an adult. And, she’s starting to do more, ahem, “adult-like” things.
It’s only natural that she graduates to more mature magazines. Teen Vogue, however, obviously isn’t about to easily let go of one of its most successful sellers. This is her fourth magazine cover. (see below)
In the photo spread, Selena exudes a vivacious sexuality; nothing too over the top, or tarty. Yet she still draws readers in with come-hither looks.
She wears designs by A.P.C., Baldwin, Hache, Kate Spade and American Eagle Outfitters. The clothes are all casual and appear to be in natural fibers.
And, what legs! Check out her photos by Giampaolo Sgura, let us know your thoughts and follow TheImproper on Twitter for unabashed analysis of celebrity news.
