Michelle Dockery is about to return for Season Four of the highly popular PBS series, “Downton Abbey.” But in a new photo spread in Vogue Italia, she’s nothing like the high-minded Lady Mary. She’s an alluring sex siren.

Dockery, 32, has become an international star because of the British period drama.

The show focuses on the fictional lives of the aristocratic Cawley family and their servants, who occupy a sprawling estate in post-Edwardian England.

Through three seasons the family has endured the sinking of the Titanic, World War I, the advent of the roaring ’20s and countless personal dramas, including the deaths of Lady Mary’s husband Matthew Cawley (Dan Stevens) and sister Lady Sybil Branson (Jessica Brown Findlay).

The fourth season focuses on a six-month period between February and August 1922, when the Cawley family must contend with the pressures of modernization and liberalizing social values brought on by the post-war boom.

Lady Mary emerges from her period of mourning and faces a host of suitors as the family is swept up in the jazz age.

Although you’d never know it from the show, Mary’s roots are definitely working class. Her father worked his way up from driving a van to becoming a surveyor and her maternal grandmother was a domestic servant in a great house.

Michelle, however, had a full formal education with an eye on an acting career. She graduated from the Finch Stage School and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in 2004.

She spent most of her early career in UK theater and television until the role of Lady Cawley came along. Now like her ex-castmates Stevens and Brown-Findlay, she’s being inundated with offers for other productions.

She played Princess Myagkaya in the 2012 movie “Anna Karenina” with Kiera Knightley and has another movie “Non-Stop” in post-production. It also stars Liam Neeson, Julianne Moore, Anson Mount, Lupita Nyong’o and Scoot McNairy.

For her Vogue Italia shoot with photographer Emma Summerton, she wears Calvin Klein Collection, Stella McCartney, Dior, Balenciaga, Narciso Rodriguez and other brands.
