Selena Gomez has pushed Justin Bieber so far out of her life, she won’t even talk to him, the pop singer revealed in a far-reaching radio interview, the same one where he said he was retiring.

Justin’s off-hand remark that he was quitting the music business overshadowed his other comments, including his telling statement about Selena.

The couple broke up earlier this year, and the split appears to have been more acrimonious than portrayed in the media. By all accounts, Bieber treated Selena like a side-girl and his constant flirting was more than she could take.

Since then, Bieber has turned into a real lout. On top of a number of juvenile incidents, like spitting on people and peeing in a janitor’s bucket, he was photographed frequenting local strip clubs and bordellos in Brazil. One laughing girl even videoed him sleeping in his hotel room bed.

Hey, Biebs is only 19; you can hardly expect him to settle down and get married. But why keep up the pretext?

Bieber revealed the state of their relationship during a discussion of his song “All That Matters.” He said it was inspired by their break-up.

“I wrote the best music once my heart was broken,” Bieber said on Big Boy’s Neighborhood on Power 106.

“‘All That Matters’ was written when I was in a great place in my relationship, and at that time, she was all that mattered in my life,” he added.

“You were in a relationship? For real?” said Big Boy.

Bieber said the break-up was painful for both of them. “[The break up] affected us, especially when we are in front of so many people. It’s such a public thing. It’s just hard for the both of us,” he explained. “But you know, she’s a great woman. I love her ’til this day.”

The feelings, however, apparently aren’t mutual. “I think we’re going to be the greatest of friends. Right now we’re taking a little time and not talking,” he acknowledged.
