Emma Watson has reportedly traded in her penchant for geeky Harry Potter types for a brawny big man on campus at Oxford University. He’s star of the rugby team and considered one of the most eligible men on campus.

Watson, 23, has been fueling tabloid rumors after her breakup last summer with long-time boyfriend Will Adamowicz.

Her new boyfriend has been identified as Matthew Janney, a bearded student of languages at the prestigious college, who’s also known for his prowess on the rough and tumble rugby field.

‘It’s early days but they’re very much in to each other. Matt’s a real hit with the girls but he may have finally met his match,” according to London’s Mirror newspaper.

Janney was named a standout player in the big match with Cambridge, a rivalry that dates back to 1872. He was also named the best looking player on the team’s Twitter account.

Emma’s rep declined to comment on her personal life. But the news is curiously timed, since it just leaked a few days ago that Watson and Adamowicz had split weeks earlier.

Watson, who is known for her 10-year run in the Harry Potter movies has been trying to find herself in the Post-Potter movie world, while trying to pursue a formal education.

She next appears in a supporting role in the movie “Noah,” the biblical story about construction of the legendary ark. The film stars Russell Crowe, Anthony Hopkins, Jennifer Connelly, Douglas Booth, Logan Lerman, and Ray Winstone.
