Jimmy Kimmel realizes much of the country is envious of Southern Californians, who are basking in 70-degree heat and avoiding the miserable “polar vortex” cold snap. So he takes the snow to them.

Kimmel, who hosts a late night show on ABC enlisted his “Uncle Sal” to hit LA’s sunny beaches with a little January surprise.

Under the guise of interviewing scantily clad beachgoers about the weather “back home,” Sal lurks out of camera view armed with a bucket of snow and some snow balls.

After the beach-goer shouts out a smarmy hello to somewhere USA in the rest of the below-zero wind-chill nation, Sal pops up with some restitution. He lets the snow fly.

“Here in LA I had the air conditioner on last night. It’s warm enough to put a bathing suit on and go to the beach. And, nothing makes cold people madder than seeing their friends and relatives in bathing suits.

So he sent a camera crew to Santa Monica to interview people while Sal loaded up.
