Justin Bieber hasn’t fallen too far from the family tree. Like his father, Jeremy Bieber, the pop singer is showing signs of an addictive personality that’s beginning to cause problems with drugs and alcohol that could land him in rehab–or worse.

In the latest developments, police claim Bieber’s Calabasas, Calif., mansion was a veritable drug den.

Although it’s still unclear whether cocaine was found, police reportedly discovered two large cookie jars filled with marijuana, three bongs and blunts made from mini-cigars, according to gossip site TMZ.

Bieber is also reportedly heavy into sizzurp, the street name cough syrup tha contains promethazine and codeine. When consumed in large quantities, it produces a euphoric high.

But it’s dangerous when combined with alcohol because it’s loaded with acetaminophen. The drug in combination with alcohol can cause significant liver damage or even fatal liver failure.

The 19-year-old’s syrup of choice is Actavis prometh, a prescription-only medicine for severe congestion. He reportedly drinks up to 12 ounces at a time. A normal dose is two tablespoons.

Of course, no two people react the same to habitual drug and alcohol use, but people with addictive personality traits are susceptible to heavy abuse.

Addictive behaviors are defined by the “excessive, repetitive use of activities to cope with unmanageable internal conflict, pressure, and stress,” according to researchers. God knows, Bieber has plenty of those three in his life.
