Pattinson’s life and career skyrocketed seemingly without end during the “Twilight” film series.
He had legions of fans around the world and a solid relationship with “Twilight” co-star Kristen Stewart, the only person in the world who really understood him, he said.
But “Twilight came to an end and so did his relationship, spectacularly. Stewart’s cheating scandal with “Snow White and the Huntsman” Director
Rupert Sanders in 2012 ripped them apart.
Since then, Rob, 27, has been an enigma, despite seemingly endless, wild and mostly false tabloid speculation about his personal life.
His career has also been in flux. While he’s had no trouble getting work, his films have been all over the map. His post-“Twilight” pictures in 2012, “Bel Ami” and “Cosmopolis,” were a mixed bag that came and went without much fanfare.
This year, he has two films slated for release: The Rover,” a futuristic action-adventure fantasy film and “Maps to the Stars,” a satire drama directed by David Cronenberg. They couldn’t be any different.
He also began filming “Queen of the Desert” this month in London and Jordan. Shooting will continue through next month, according to the studio.
While Rob wasn’t in any movies last year, his career took another turn when he agreed to shoot an edgy fashion campaign for fragrance Dior Homme.
“I like trying to do ambitious things,” Pattinson told the Wall Street Journal in an interview about the brand. “That’s what got me really enthusiastic about the campaign, that [Dior] wasn’t shying away from anything.”
He takes away something from everything he does, including his fashion shoot. “I can’t tell if it’s because of my association with Dior or because I’m older, but I’ve started moisturizing,” he jokingly.
He actually prefers Homme Dermo System Repairing Moisturizing Emulsion, he reveals. Who knew?
But this year will definitely be different. “This year, I’m trying to see what my niche is,” he said. Will it include finding a new love?
