Saylor, 19, now resides with her boyfriend and brother in New York’s rapidly gentrifying Bedford–Stuyvesant neighborhood in Brooklyn.
While she hasn’t achieved a “Sex and the City” lifestyle yet–it’s more like HBO’s “Girls”–she’s already making inroads in her acting career.
She landed her first gig in the Off-Broadway play We Were Young And Unafraid. It’s about a former nurse (Cherry Jones) who runs an underground shelter for abused women, circa 1972, the dawn of the women’s rights movement.
The play wraps on Aug. 10. Then, Morgan will hit the road to promote two upcoming films. “Jamie Marks Is Dead” is an indie film that premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.
She’ll also be appearing in “McFarland,” a Disney sports drama based on a true story about a Latino high school track team from McFarland, Calif. It stars Kevin Costner.
She counts among her friends and contemporaries Hailee Steinfeld, Kiernan Shipka and Elle Fanning, who is “cool, very smart,” she says. She’s also met Jennifer Lawrence “a few times.”
And, she’s become quite a fashionista.
“I like Novis and Honor and Band of Outsiders. I love Proenza and I love Wang.
“I love just simple Calvin Klein and Rebecca Minkoff, Phillip Lim, Suno and Peter Som. And, I’ve grown to love Karen Walker,” she says.
The world loves her, too.
