Margot Robbie, who took Hollywood by storm in “Wolf of Wall Street” and “Suicide Squad” is glamming up for Chanel’s first Coco Neige collection. Karl Lagerfeld photographed her for the brand, dedicated to winter sports.
The line will go on sale in July and August. It mixes technical pieces with classic Chanel codes like tweed, leather and camellia motifs, according to WWD.
“This shoot was one of the greatest experiences of my career,” she said about working with the famed photographer. “The energy and vibe on set was so wonderful and collaborative.
“One of the first things Karl Lagerfeld said to me was that we never need to take ourselves too seriously. He has such a creative mind and he knows exactly what he wants and the minute he captured it, we were moving onto the next shot. It was amazing,” she added.
Robbie joins a long list of Hollywood actresses who has worked with the fashion house’s chief designer. They include Cara Delevingne, Kristen Stewart and Willow Smith, daughter of Will and Jada Pinckett Smith.
The Australian actress most recently starred in “I, Tonya,” about the ice skater Tonya Harding who was involved in a skating scandal in the mid-1990s. Her friends assaulted rival Nancy Kerrigan in an effort to knock her out of the competition.
She’s also starring in the upcoming “Mary Queen of Scots,” playing Queen Elizabeth I opposite Saoirse Ronan’s Mary Queen of Scots.
She set to appear, as well, in Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” about the murdered actress Sharon Tate. Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio also star.
