Rosie Huntington-Whitley was once told she was too fat to model. Today she is a model of perfection, with hot looks, a booming career and a new movie. So How does she feel about the advice now?
Huntington-Whitley, 24, talks about her body image in a new interview in the UK edition of Elle magazine, said she was told at the start of her career that she needed to lose weight to make it as a model.
“When I started modeling, I was definitely heavier,” she says. “I was quite voluptuous in fact. I had a real baby face and baby fat.
“But I was a baby! I was told I had to get into better shape, but I’m quite stubborn so I didn’t.”

Indeed, Huntington-Whitley was discovered and signed to a modeling contract when she was just 17.
“I can’t remember a time where I really battled with my body, but I can remember being asked to lose weight and battling with the advice,” she said. “It hurt me.”
Now, she said, she works out regularly to maintain her shape.
“I don’t just work out to stay slim, I work out because it takes a lot to be on a plane and be jet-lagged all the time. Same with being on a film set for months.”
“It’s important your body is strong and toned and can take that battering.”
She gets a good workout in her new action-adventure film, Transformers 3, playing the love interest of Shia LaBeouf.
The film premieres in July.
