Chanel Iman is one of Victoria’s Secret’s newbies, but she is quickly establishing herself with the brand, and branching out. Which is a good thing; she’s wanted to be a model as long as she can remember.
Iman first walked in Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2009. A year later she was one of the featured models on the brand’s Web site.
The company made it official the same year, promoting her to join the Victoria’s Secret Angel team, with such models as Miranda Kerr, Heidi Klum and Bar Rafaeli.
Chanel hit the catwalks for the first time in 2006. She was only 15.

But she walked for top brands, such as Valentino, Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen, working both Milan and New York.
She told The New York Times that year that she’d wanted to be a model as a little girl.
The publicity helped launch her career. The following year, she was featured as an upcoming model in Vogue’s May 2007 issue and was named one of the world’s next top models by style.com.
She’s done covers all over the world from America’s Teen Vogue to Italian Elle, i-D and Harper’s in Dubai and The Ukraine.
The Atlanta, Ga., native, who is 5’10” tall, grew up in Los Angeles and started modeling at 13.
She moved to New York in 2006 to launch her career and won third place in Ford’s Supermodel of the World contest.
