Lea Michele Fashion Breakout; New Candie's Face 1Lea Michele, star of the Fox hit series “Glee,” has been signed to be the new face of Candie’s fashion brand. She’s rapidly becoming a Young Hollywood fashion icon and has a solid fan base attractive to the brand.

“Lea’s fans are the same as Candie’s fans,” a Candie’s source told E! News. Michele, 25, is replacing actress Vanessa Hudgens, 23, best known the High School Musical film series. Candie’s reps have also included Britney Spears, Ashlee Simpson, Fergie and Jenny McCarthy.

The “Glee” star will appear in a new print ad campaign later this year. She has previously repped by herself or with the “Glee” cast  for such brands as Dove, Chevy and PETA, the animal rights group.

The 5’2″ Lea is a vegan who does yoga, runs, dances, hikes and strength-trains to maintain her fit size 2 physique. She also says the show is physically demanding because of all of its dance routines.

Michele received intense pressure from Hollywood agents to get a nose job early in her career but decided to stick with the one God gave her. “When I was 15, my mother and I went to meet a manager who said, ‘You have to get a nose job in order for me to work with you,’ ” Michele recounted.

“My mother would say to me, ‘Barbra Streisand never got a nose job. You’re not getting a nose job.’ And this was before I really even knew who Barbra was. I just knew that she was, like, the messiah for girls like me.”

Lea, who was one of the few girls in her high school circle not to get rhinoplasty, says success has made her feel beautiful. “Glee has made me feel beautiful,” she said. “Now when people say that I don’t feel like they’re lying.”

The ambitious Michele plans to continue singing, dancing and acting well after her “Glee” character graduates from high school.

“I don’t stop. It’s my nature,” she says. “People have to tell me to slow down. I plan on playing every role on Broadway…I want to do movies, make music. Glee is only the beginning.”

Lea actually began her career as a child star on Broadway. She made her debut in 1995 as a replacement in the role of Young Cosette in the long-running hit Les Misérables. She also appeared in the orginal cast of the Broadway musical Ragtime.

She made her big screen debut in the 2011 Gary Marshall film “New Year’s Eve,” and will next star as the lead voice in “Dorothy of Oz,” upcoming computer-animated film.
