Kristen Stewart Styles Sexy Cali Chic in Elle France (photos)

Kristen Stewart Styles Sexy Cali Chic in Elle France (photos) 1“Twilight” hottie Kristen Stewart looks all-American California chic in the French edition of Elle magazine. The French love all things American, especially Hollywood glamour.

The photo shoot takes place in the mountains of Topanga Canyon overlooking Malibu, and Kristen’s look is casual hippie chic. She looks like she could be channeling her 2007 biographical drama “Into the Wild.”

She poses in a causal clothes next to a trailer, not unlike the one from “Into the Wild” in Slab City in California’s Imperial Valley. That’s where her character lived when she met the film’s central character.

She talks passionately, however, about her new movie “On the Road,” with Sam Riley and Garrett Hedlund.

The film trio just shot a photo spread for M Le Monde. French publications are all over American movie stars because of the festival.

“On the Road” is in competition for the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival. Ironically, boyfriend Robert Pattinson’s new film “Cosmopolis” is also in the competition.

“The first few times I was recognized in the street, it was a complete surprise,” she says. It may sound naive, but until ‘Twilight,’ the celebrity appearance had completely escaped me,” she says.

“I suddenly found itself facing this unhealthy interest that related more to the ‘pop culture’ in the movies. People come to ask you for a photo, or an autograph, because they have seen in a magazine. But they have no idea about movies in which you played. This is disturbing.” she says.
