Hilary Rhoda may be the least known American supermodel, although judging from her sun kissed swimwear photos in Vogue’s Spanish edition, it’s hard to fathom why.
A top swimsuit model, she has been featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue for the past three years.
And, the Washington, D.C. area native ranks 12th on Forbes’ Top 15 highest earning models list, with more than $2 million a year in income.

Her best known fashion work has been for cosmetics brand Estée Lauder.
But the 25-year-old model, who graduated from the Academy of the Holy Cross, a Catholic all-girls’ school in Maryland, is making up a lot of ground on the international circuit. When St. John Knits went looking for a model to replace Angelina Jolie, the brand chose her.
For her Vogue Spain spread, the 5’10” brunette beauty posed for photgrapher Miguel Reveriego in some of the sexiest bathing suits of the season. Katie Mossman handled styling.
Rhoda has the kind of sexy, athletic body that’s coming back in style. One thing is certain, Vogue loves her.
She has appeared on the covers of American Vogue, Vogue Italia and Vogue Paris, as well as other magazines. In 2007, Vogue named her one of the “World’s Next Top Models” along with Doutzen Kroes, Caroline Trentini, Raquel Zimmermann, Sasha Pivovarova, Agyness Deyn, Coco Rocha, Jessica Stam, Chanel Iman and Lily Donaldson.
Rhoda certainly was in good company, and one look at her photos tells why.
