The spread evokes both classic and cutting-edge looks by Balmain, Givenchy and Versace. Yasmine McDougall Strea handled styling.

Frauche has been lauded for her face, described as “beautiful and memorable” by models.com and her long legs. The willowy 5’10” beauty was made for the runway and also dazzled during Paris Fashion Week.

For the spring 2012 season, she was in demand, walking for Calvin Klein in New York, Fendi in Milan, and Balenciaga, Givenchy and Miu Miu in Paris.

She was approached about modeling at 16, but waited until she graduated from high school before giving it a try. She spent five years toiling away in relative obscurity as a fitting model. Then she switched agencies and landed in New York.

“If you don’t do New York, there’s no point. So I was like, ‘Okay, I have nothing to lose,'” she told New York magazine.

Now that she’s in demand, Frauche is glad she did it her way. “When I started and I was really shy, everyone tried to change me. They told me, ‘You have to be crazy, you have to be mean. You have to scream,'” she said.

“I was like, ‘I’m not going to do that. I’m not like that and I’m not going to change my personality.’ And now I’m really happy.”
