Kate Upton’s warm embrace by U.S. Vogue editor Anna Wintour is yielding fruits throughout the Vogue empire. She graces the cover of Vogue Italia’s November issue in yet another stunning spread for the American beauty.
Upton, 20, has become one of the most talked about models ever since she appeared on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.
She was at once dismissed by some in the fashion industry as too manufactured and too curvaceous to succeed on the runway or in high fashion.
Kate Upton Classic, Seductive
At the same time, she is being hailed as the successor to ’50s sex sirens Marilyn Monroe, Brigitte Bardot and Jayne Mansfield.
For her part, Upton is unapologetic about her curves. Fashion doyen Wintour’s embrace has elevated her career to true superstar status. She poses for photographer Steven Meisel in Vogue Italia with styling by Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele. The magazine hits newsstands Nov 2.
Upton also appears in the November issues of Cosmopolitan magazine and U.S. Vogue, a rare trifecta for an up-and-coming model.
For Cosmo, Kate looks luxurious in lingerie with an equestrian twist. She posed for photographer Matt Jones with styling by Michelle McCool.
Meisel does double duty, photographing Upton for U.S. Vogue. Shewears sportswear from Ralph Lauren, Jason Wu and Narciso Rodriguez. Tonne Goodman handled styling.
