Justin Bieber Follows Nose; Debuts Teasers for New Scent (watch!)

Justin Bieber Follows Nose; Debuts Teasers for New Scent (watch!) 1Justin Bieber thinks he knows a market when he sees one. But will teen and tween beliebers go for yet another perfume from his budding brand empire? If they want to be his girlfriend they will

That’s the name of his new scent, a follow up to the Eau de Parfum he launched last year called “Someday.”

His debut scent for girls broke sales records when it was introduced in June 2011, earning $3 million in just three weeks at Macy’s. it comes as no surprise the pop sensation will be honored at this year’s ceremony.

The perfume went on to win the The “2012 Elizabeth Taylor Fragrance Celebrity of the Year Award” at the 40th Fifi Awards, a fragrance competition sponsored by industry trade group, The Fragrance Foundation. The event has been held annually since 1973 and are considered equivalent to the Oscars.

Justin released his first unisex fragrance dubbed “My World” at Walmart in 2010, and launched Someday exclusively at Macy’s last year. Industry insiders say it was the hottest selling fragrance since “Glow” by Jennifer Lopez and “Curious” by Britney Spears.

So it makes sense (scents?) that he would try to swing for the fences again. Sephora is selling the 1.7 oz Eau de Parfum Spray for $49 and there is also Girlfriend hair mist and body lotion for $25 each. You can get a jump on the crowds by buying Justin’s “Girlfriend” products through amazon.com. Just click the link to the left and save on all products.

Plus, Justin has one of the best marketing tools around–himself. In addition to more than 25 million Twitter followers, who are a ready market, Justin is also adept at pitching his own products.

One teaser shows Bieber getting a little PDA from a woman off-screen (not Selena Gomez) and he gives another unseen girl a lesson on his drums.

Bieber got into a little hot water last year when he released a new commercial for his “Someday” fragrance that was fraught with sexual innuendo aimed at a teen and young teen market.
