Cindy Crawford, the definition of a supermodel during the ’80s and ’90s, shows the camera still loves her at 46 in a new photo spread for Australia’s Madison magazine. But what she likes to talk about these days is her business prowess.
Crawford’s accomplishments as a model are long and impressive; less known, and even more impressive, is how she used her famous face and body to become a brand.
It’s what every model, actress and pop singer aspires to today. She earned a small fortune from fitness videos, commercials and the occasional modeling gigs. She reps for Omega watches and also designs her own home furnishing collections.

Her Meaningful Beauty skincare line is also hugely popular, although Crawford also got caught up in a flap after acknowledging she used Botox.
With all that on her plate, she still manages a household with two children, Presley, 13, and Kaia, 11, and her husband of 15-years Rande Gerber, a bar and nightclub owner and one of George Clooney’s close pals.
” “I might not have gone to business school but I know my brand better than anyone. I’m an expert on me,” she tells the magazine.
Daughter Kaia is already testing the waters as a model. She appeared in a photo spread for racy Italian designer Versace’s spring/summer 2012 children’s line. But the shoot raised eyebrows because of complaints the pre-teen was over-sexualized. Crawford has since put a hold on her career.
“Kaia said to me, ‘Well, maybe I’ll model a little bit. You really don’t have to know how to do anything.’ I’m like, thanks!” the supermom says.
