Kit Harrington, the English actor best known for his role as Jon Snow in HBO hit “Game of Thrones,” leaps into the 21st Century in a new trailer for his upcoming movie “Spooks: The Greater Good.” And, we mean literally leaps.

In the new trailer for the British spy film, he’s seen jumping through a plate glass window as Will Crombie, an MI5 spy.

Crombie is called into action after the disappearance of his boss, the head of MI5 counter-terrorism Harry Pearce, played by Peter Firth.

The mystery deepens when terrorist Adam Qasim, played by Elyes Gabel, escapes from MI5, raising concerns that Harry has gone rogue. Crombie sets out to track him down and unearths a global conspiracy that takes him from the Mediterranean to Vietnam.

In the meantime, evidence surfaces that London is facing an impending terrorist attack.

The film is based on the British television series “Spooks” (known as MI-5 in some countries), which aired on BBC One from 2002 to 2011.

Harrington is parlaying his “Game of Thrones” exposure into a burgeoning movie career.

He was named Actor of the Year at the Young Hollywood Awards 2013. The awards celebrate emerging young talent in film, music and television.

Then last month he was cast in Xavier Dolan’s “The Death and Life of John F. Donovan,” co-starring Jessica Chastain, Susan Sarandon and Kathy Bates.

The fifth season of “Game of Thrones” will premiere on HBO on April 12.
