Affleck plays Christian Wolff, a socially-awkward math savant with an obsessive-compulsive disorder who likes to keep things neat.
Except his own life is anything but. Working in an unassuming, small-town accounting office by day, he doubles at night as a paid assassin and money man behind complex international criminal organizations.
Apparently being a savant, able to solve the most complex equations, doesn’t involve a moral compass.
Kendrick plays Dana Cummings, a young accounting clerk who hires Wolff to unravel a suspected fraud at her robotics company. It involves millions of dollars of discrepancies.
Through the relationship she slowly discovers Wolff’s double life. And she’s not the only one onto him.
The Treasury Department’s Crime Enforcement Division, run by Ray King (J.K. Simmons), also smells a rat. Wolff uncooks the robotics company books and discovers something far larger than even he thought, leading to a desperate cat and mouse game of murder and intrigue.
Jon Bernthal, John Lithgow and Jeffrey Tambor also co-star.
