Harrison Ford talked fondly about late Star Wars co-star Carrie Fisher with Mark Hamill, who stars in the movie series as Luke Skywalker. It happened at Hamill’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.

Hamill was honored with a star yesterday (Mar. 8) and drew a huge crowd to witness the event.

Ford lamented that one face wasn’t in the crowd.

“When thinking about today, I was really sorry we don’t have the other member of our trio to celebrate with us, but I feel her presence,” he said of Fisher, who died suddenly last December.

Ford appeared with Fisher and Hamill in the original Star Wars movie “A New Hope” along with “The Empire Strikes Back,” “Return of the Jedi” and “The Force Awakens.” –

Harrison also had praise for Hamill. He revealed he recently revisited Hamill’s ‘Star Wars’ audition, admitting he was surprised by his then young co-star’s talent.

“I was surprised by how good he was,” he said.

“Star Wars” creator George Lucas said Hamill was perfect for the role of Skywalker.

“Mark Hamill is a character that can’t be written. He is extremity enthusiastic about everything he does, and that is exactly what I was looking for when I cast Luke Skywalker,” the 73-year-old director said.

“It’s hard to convey my gratitude, my joy and the exhilaration. I haven’t been speechless since ‘Force Awakens,'” Hamill said.

Hamill also revealed the advice Ford, 75, gave him at the outset of his acting career.

“Hey, kid, Don’t get cocky.’ And I have tried to remember that to this very day,” he said.
