Kristen Stewart a Darker Snow White; See New Movie Stills

Kristen Stewart a Darker Snow White; See New Movie Stills 1Kristen Stewart, best known as “Twilight’ sweetheart Bella Swan, will play a much darker character, if you can believe it, as Snow White, judging from new movie still released today (July 23) at Comic Con.

Snow White is best known as a fairy tale princess, thanks to the classic Disney animated film, but “Snow White and the Huntsman,” will have more of a medieval, middle earth look reminiscent of “Lord of the Rings.”

Charlize Theron looks absolutely bewitching as the evil Queen.

Sam Claflin, best known for his role in “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” looks like he just walked off the set of the 1981 fantasy film “Excalibur,” as Prince Charmant.

Chris Hemsworth, who plays the huntsman, sports a grimy peasant look.

He’s sent by the evil queen to perform a dirty deed; bring back the heart of snow white. But instead, he falls for her and trains her how to fight.

The story will be a far cry from Disney. Snow White escapes from the Evil Queen’s jail and she and the Huntsman go to war against her.

The movie is expected to be action-packed,

“It’s not a little girl sitting by a well with tweety birds telling her what’s going on,” Stewart said in a recent  interview.

Stewart was joined by the cast for a Comic Con press conference today.

Only a day ago she was on the same stage with Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner to talk about “Breaking Dawn, Part 1.”

“I wasn’t initially jumping at the chance [to play Snow White] but she is one of the most heavy-handedly sincere, seriously-doesn’t-let-her-heart-cloud-her-mind characters,” Stewart said. “Also, I get to have a sword and stuff.”

The movie will also have plenty of dwarfs. How can You Go wrong with that?
