Michelle Williams Graveyard Picnic Heralds Spring (photos!) 1Michelle Williams, who is up for an Oscar for her movie “My Week With Marilyn,” found time to pose for Los Angeles-based fashion brand, Band of Outsiders. She looked appropriately spring-like in the brand’s 2012 collection.

The shoot took place in LA celebrity Hollywood Forever Cemetery, originally known as Hollywood Memorial Park Cemetery.

It’s the final resting place of numerous luminaries, ranging from Mel Blanc, the voice of cartoon characters, Dee Dee Ramone, Marion Davies and 1930s movie mogul Cecil B. DeMille.

If a photo shoot in a cemetery sounds grisly don’t be shocked. This being Hollywood, the cemetery regularly hosts a range of events from music performances to summer movie screenings.

Michelle looks like she’s spending a day in the park, modeling the spring line. The actress sports the label’s loose-fiting spring shapes in pale hues of ivory with floral prints and floor-length skirts.

Designer Scott Sternberg launched Band of Outsiders in 2004, designing recontextualized vintage-inspired looks with hand-sewn seams and shrunken proportions, according to it’s official bio.

The brand’s overall look is one of sharply cut dress shirts and slim-fitting, tailored suits and knits with a boyish appeal. Though increasingly popular in the States, the label’s biggest market is Tokyo.

She’s currently appearing in “Take This Waltz,” a Canadian comedy-drama released in 2011 and is co-starring in “Oz: The Great and Powerful”, a fantasy film directed by Sam Raimi that re-imagines the classic story.
