Simon Pegg Hysterical in Fantastic Fear of Everything Trailer

Simon Pegg Hysterical in Fantastic Fear of Everything Trailer 1Simon Pegg takes British eccentricity to a new level in a hilarious new trailer for indie film “Fantastic Fear of Everything.” It’s part murder mystery, part psychological drama, part comedy about the paranoia that lurks within everyone.

Pegg plays Jack, a children’s author “by mistake” who decides to write a crime novel about 19th Century serial killers. As it turns out, he attracts the attention of his own serial killer. Or does he?

Paul Freeman, Clare Higgins and Amara Karan also star in the film, co-directed by music video director Chris Hopewell and British singer Crispian Mills. Hopewell is best known for Radiohead’s “There There” video and The Killers’ “Smile Like You Mean It.”

In the film, Jack struggles with hiss obsession with death and the real life possibility he might be murdered. His fear is manifested in Laundromats and a frightening looking stuffed hedgehog toy that pops up in the most unusual places.

Most of Pegg’s work has been in the UK an Europe, but has he also portrayed Montgomery “Scotty” Scott in the 2009 Star Trek film; Benji Dunn in “Mission: Impossible III” and its sequel “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” and Thompson in “The Adventures of Tintin.”

The film opens on June 8 in the U.K., but a U.S. release date has not yet been set, although the film has a domestic distributor.
