Bruce Willis is the latest granddad to return to the big screen to fight bad guys. He shows he can still bring it in a new trailer for “A Good Day to Die Hard.” This time, he gets a helping hand from his son.
Willis, 57, is one of the few action actors who has continued to work steadily as he nears his golden years. His last star turn was in “Looper.”
Say what you will about his acting ability, he’s the ninth highest grossing film actor, at nearly a $3 billion, in the entire history of film. The “Die Hard” series has been his bread and butter since 1988’s debut “Die Hard.”
This time tough guy John McClane turns up in Russia, where he hopes to get estranged son Jack, played by Jai Courtney, out of jail. Turns out, Jack is also a “highly trained CIA operative out to stop a nuclear weapons heist.”
They team up to take out the bad guys, a father and son picture if there ever was one. The trailer opens with a series of quick cuts of bad guys with guns and a very hot Yuliya Snigir as Irina wrangling a motorcycle and stripping down.
From there it cuts to McClane in the back of a cab trying to be as low key as possible. But even the cabbie spots him for an American “cowboy.”
“A Good Day to Die Hard” opens Feb. 14. Check out the trailer below and be sure to follow TheImproper on Twitter for all the latest movie updates.
