Miley Cyrus toned down her act to sing an acoustic cover of Lana Del Rey’s “Summertime Sadness” on BBC-One Radio’s “Live Lounge,” a show that features music stripped of all but the bare essentials.

Miley keeps her clothes on this time, but does manage a small tongue wag when she introduces the show.

The Live Lounge, which airs in Great Britain, was hosted by Fearne Cotton, Grimmy and Annie Mac. A video of the performance was posted online today (Nov. 12).

While Miley has been in Europe for MTV’s edition of the Music Video Awards, Lana was spotted Nov. 11, visiting vans in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Miley tipped her fans to her performance. Check out my @BBCR1 live lounge cover of Summertime Sadness” she tweeted to her followers.

Miley caused an uproar on the European VMAs when she lit up what appeared to be a marijuana cigarette on stage during her performance. The event was held in liberal Amsterdam, but the Dutch authorities were still not amused.

On the BBC show, she performed more than a credible cover of Del Rey’s hit.
