Plus, Juno award winners A Tribe Called Red will play a free concert at Place Émilie-Gamelin.
The Canadian city has made music one of its tourism calling cards and definitely knows how to throw a party.
This is the 13th year for the festival.
The festival also includes a full agenda of symposiums. Organizers have already tipped that Utero’s recording engineer, industry legend and culinary wiz Steve Albini will be among the speakers.
He’ll be hosting a cooking workshop and also present a Q&A and a recording workshop.
The event will announce its full lineup Aug. 27. It promises “lots of hip names and forgotten legends.”
