Taylor Swift, Wronged Again, Fires Back in Video (watch)

Taylor Swift, Wronged Again, Fires Back in Video (watch) 1Taylor Swift seems to have a persecution complex. If she’s not bashing old boyfriends in her songs, she’s lashing out at the next closest thing — music critics.

The country music sweetheart’s latest video for her new song “Mean,” plays off familiar themes in her music.

She’s trusting and loyal, yet seems to continually be at the mercy of tormentors, bullies and loutish boyfriends.

There’s no question that Swift has been through some bad break-ups.

Infamously, Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers band broke up with her over the phone.

She added a song about the break up, “Forever & Always,” to her album. Two other songs “Last Kiss” and “Better than Revenge” were also inspired by Jonas.

Jake Gyllenhaal reportedly spent $160,000 to have her flown over on a private jet for a date, and then abruptly broke up with her the cheesiest way possible, a text message.

The song “Mean” reportedly is aimed at him as well.

Taylor’s song “Dear John” is thought to be ex-boyfriend John Mayer, who also rudely dumped her, and Swift wrote “Enchanted” after dating Owl City’s Adam Young.

But Swift can dish it out, too. She dumped “Twilight” hunk Taylor Lautner, after briefly dating him. This time, however, she wrote a song apologizing called “Back to December.”

“You gave me all your love, and all I gave you was goodbye,” she sang.

In “Mean,” Swift takes aim at those who she believes unfairly criticized her music and also takes up the cause of bullied kids.

The kicker, as always, is that Swift goes on to bigger and better things, while her critics just stay mean.

Is there a note of hypocrisy here? Check out the video below.
