Cee Lo Goes Up Beat With New Song 'Anyway' (listen!)

Cee Lo Goes Up Beat With New Song 'Anyway' (listen!) 1Cee Lo Green is taking an entirely new view on love with his latest single “Anyway.” The bouncy pop tune could be considered the antithesis to his anthem to love lost, “F*ck You.”

Green released a new video featuring the lyrics of the new song in which he professes his undying love for his girlfriend no matter what humiliation she heaps on him.

In contrast, “F*ck You” is about dissing a chick who dumps you for a man because he has more money.

“Anyway” is expected to be included on the platinum edition of Cee Lo’s album The Lady Killer, set for release Nov. 28. It will also be released as a single, Dec. 12, on iTunes.

Other new tracks include “Scarlet Fever,” “Love Gun,” and a cover of the Band of Horses song, “No One’s Gonna Love You.”

“Anyway” was co-written by Wallpaper and Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo.

Green, real name, Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, was a member of the southern hip hop group Goodie Mob, before launching a solo career and forming the band Gnarls Barkley with DJ Danger Mouse.

In 2010, Cee Lo released “F*ck You” as a solo recording, and it was an instant hit.

Gwyenth Paltrow sang the clean version, titled “Forget You,” on the hit Fox show “Glee,” cementing the tune as a popular anthem about shallow relationships.
