Selena poses like a sexy ingenue with red, white and blue streaked hair and a shoulder exposing top in a cornfield, a come hither look in her eyes, according to photos from the shoot.
She’s also pictured in a yellow disco dress carrying a huge yellow balloon as a group of friends with balloons follows her.
In one of the hottest scenes in the video, Selena arches her back and tilts her head longingly wearing red short-shorts and an off-the-shoulder blouse.
The behind-the-scenes video opens with a shot of the Golden Oak Ranch where outdoor scenes where filmed.
There are a couple of quick pans of filming in progress and then Selena appears to introduce the video.
Against a backdrop of scenes from the video with the “Hit the Lights” playing in the background, Selena explains the meaning of the song.
“Basically the song is just encouraging people to let loose and have fund and be young and be crazy,” she explains.
She calls the video “more organic than anything I’ve done,” and just about “being with people you love.”
It’s the time that you totally screwed up
Still you’re trying get it out your brain,
It’s the fight you had when you didn’t make up,
It’s the past that you’re dying to change.
Seems like the lyrics could almost apply to her current predicament with boyfriend Justin Bieber, who is entangled in a baby daddy sex scandal.
Despite early tabloid reports that she dumped him because of the scandal, Gomez has made a strong pubic showing of support in several appearances with the teen sensation.
