Justin Bieber Shirtless Shows Serious Skateboard Skills (watch)

Justin Bieber Shirtless Shows Serious Skateboard Skills (watch) 1Justin Bieber showed off some serious skateboard skills outside his studio in Miami. It’s hard to believe the singer spent his youth in poverty, given his impressive skills in hockey and basketball, not to mention music.

Bieber has always claimed he grew up poor, raised by a single mother. But he obviously had plenty of time to pursue recreation. He’s probably naturally athletic and musical, but it still takes hours and hours of practice to get to his level.

The Biebs, 17, won’t be replacing skateboard whizzes like Tony Hawk anytime soon, but he could easily handle himself on most playground skateboard parks.

In a video capture by a fan, he rides a half-pipe with skill, doing kick turns and topping out easily at the top of the ramp. All the while, his teen fans screamed their heads off. But no spills for Justin.

After the break, Justin headed back to the studio to continue work on his third album, titled Believe.

Bieber played in a celebrity baskeball game hosted by rapper Ludicris over the Labor Day weekend, and held his own with some top NBA players. Team Bieber included Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Anthony Morrow of the New Jersey Nets, Brandon Jennings of the Milwaukee Bucks, Marquis Daniels of the Boston Celtics, Chris Singleton of the Washington Wizards, Iman Shumpert of the New York Knicks.

His team beat the celebrity-pro team led by Ludicris. It included included Carmelo Anthony of the Knicks, Kemba Walker of the Charlotte Bobcats, Lou Williams of the Philadelphia 76ers, Josh Powell of the Atlanta Hawks and Jarrett Jack and Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets.
