The one-hour CBS Entertainment special will tape Oct. 11 at the Nokia Theatre L.A. and air on CBS Nov. 16 at 10pm. It’s titled “We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute To Whitney Houston.”

The special will include interviews and clips from Houston’s most memorable performances, including never-seen-before footage. During her career, the six-time Grammy winner sold more than 170 million albums, songs and videos.

She holds the Grammy record for appearances at the awards show at eight. She presented Hudson with her first Grammy at the 51st Grammy Awards in 2009.

Houston, 48, was found submerged in a tub of water on the afternoon of Feb. 11, just hours before she was set to appear at a pre-Grammy party hosted by her long-time mentor Clive Davis at the Beverly Hilton Hotel where she was staying.

Traces of cocaine marijuana, Alprazolam (Xanax), Cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril) and Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) were found in her system, the coroner’s toxicology report said. Her death was officially attributed to drowning.

Her death marked the end of a long battle with drugs.
