Taylor Swift Looks at Love's Upside in New Song 'State of Grace' (listen!)

Taylor Swift Looks at Love's Upside in New Song 'State of Grace' (listen!) 1Taylor Swift is best known as the scourge of ex-boyfriends because of all her spiteful breakup songs, but she also sees an upside to love in her latest song “State of Grace.” The song went viral today to coincide with its release on iTunes.

Despite the title, the latest tune off her upcoming album Red is up-tempo to the point of being almost a rock anthem. It opens with a driving beat and a guitar riff.

Swift, 22, who is happily dating Kennedy clan offspring Conor Kennedy, son of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., says the song is about the moment two people fall in love and thinking about all of the directions the relationship can take.

“It’s a really big sound to me, the sound to me is like the feeling of falling in love in an epic way,” she says.

Although she’s now released four songs ahead of the album, she still says it contains a lot of surprises, including “some collaborations that haven’t been talked about and some songs that are definitely what make the album so unique,” she told Rolling Stone.

“State Of Grace” was added to iTunes on today (Oct 16) at midnight. The album will be released Oct. 22. Swift who has been previewing tracks on ABC’s Good Morning America, will return to the show with the album’s debut for a concert.
